Day 2 – Arusha

After a hearty breakfast at the lodge, you have the option to embark on a guided walking safari in the stunning Arusha National Park. Experience the beauty of nature up close as you stroll through diverse landscapes, from lush forests to open savannahs. Your expert guide will share insights about the local flora and fauna, and you may spot wildlife such as giraffes, buffalo, and various bird species. This immersive experience allows you to connect with the environment in a way that a traditional safari cannot. Alternatively, if you prefer a more active morning, you can head to the Arusha Gymkhana Club to enjoy a game of tennis. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just starting out, the club offers excellent facilities and a friendly atmosphere. Take in the beautiful surroundings while enjoying a match or practicing your serves and volleys. After your chosen activity, you will return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation before continuing your adventure in Tanzania.

Day 3 – Arusha – Tarangire

Tarangire National Park is a hidden gem in Tanzania, celebrated for its unique landscapes and rich biodiversity. What truly sets Tarangire apart is its diverse habitats, featuring open savannahs, acacia woodlands, and the lush banks of the Tarangire River. This river serves as a vital water source, attracting large herds of elephants, especially during the dry season, making it one of the best places to see these majestic creatures up close. The park also boasts an impressive array of wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, and a plethora of bird species, making it a paradise for nature enthusiasts and photographers. The iconic baobab trees add to the stunning scenery, providing a surreal backdrop for your safari adventures. With fewer tourists compared to other parks, Tarangire offers a more intimate and tranquil experience, allowing visitors to connect deeply with Tanzania’s natural beauty and wildlife. After a delightful morning safari, we will head to Karatu for the next part of your journey.

Day 4 – Tarangire – Manayara

After a delightful breakfast at the lodge, we will set off on our journey to Lake Manyara National Park. The drive takes you through picturesque landscapes, with opportunities to enjoy the vibrant local scenery and wildlife along the way. As you approach the park, you’ll be captivated by the stunning views of the Great Rift Valley and the beautiful lake itself. Upon arrival at Lake Manyara National Park, prepare for an exciting game drive. This park is famous for its diverse ecosystems, ranging from lush forests to open grasslands and the shimmering lake. Keep your eyes peeled for the park’s remarkable wildlife, including herds of elephants, curious hippos, and a variety of bird species, including flamingos that often gather at the lake’s edge. After an exhilarating day of exploration, you will return to your accommodation for dinner and a restful night, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 5 – Manyara – Ngorongoro Crater

Today, We’re Heading to a Truly Special Place! After breakfast, we’ll set off on our journey to the Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as the Eighth Wonder of the World. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is home to an incredible diversity of wildlife, with over 120 mammal species, including the renowned Big Five. This is a coveted safari destination, offering you the rare opportunity to see the endangered black rhinoceros grazing peacefully on the grassy plains. You’ll also find a significant population of hippos enjoying the cool waters of the crater. From the comfort of your open-top safari vehicle, you’ll be able to observe and capture stunning photographs of some of Africa’s most iconic creatures. After a day filled with excitement and adventure, we’ll enjoy a delightful picnic lunch by the park’s famous hippo pool. As the day winds down, we’ll begin our journey back to our lodge in Arusha

Day 6 – Arusha

After a night filled with the soothing sounds of the jungle, you’ll rise to a beautiful morning in nature. Following breakfast, we’ll continue our journey towards Arusha. The drive will take you through stunning landscapes, providing glimpses of local life along the way. Arriving in Arusha in the afternoon, you’ll have some leisure time to unwind and explore the vibrant town. For those looking to stay active, we offer the opportunity to play tennis at the Arusha Gymkhana Club. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just looking to have fun, the club provides a welcoming atmosphere and well-maintained courts. After your game, you can relax and enjoy the local ambiance. In the evening, we’ll gather for dinner at a charming local restaurant, sharing stories from your adventures.

Day 7 – Return back to airport

Today marks your final day in Tanzania, and though it’s bittersweet, there are still wonderful moments to savor. After a leisurely breakfast, you have the option to spend your morning playing tennis at the Arusha Gymkhana Club, where you can enjoy the friendly competition and beautiful surroundings. If tennis isn’t your choice, feel free to explore more of Arusha. You might visit local markets for some last-minute souvenirs, enjoy a relaxing stroll in a nearby park, or indulge in a spa treatment to unwind before your journey home. In the afternoon, take some time to reflect on your incredible experiences in Tanzania— from breathtaking safaris to vibrant cultural encounters. As evening approaches, you’ll prepare for your transfer to the airport. With cherished memories and new friendships, you’ll depart, carrying the spirit of Tanzania with you. Fantastic Tour Company- highly recommend I had a wonderful experience with Jasmine of Sarafika Tours. I made a last minute change in my travel plans and decided to add Tanzania to my itinerary. Jasmine was super responsive and attentive to all my questions and concerns while putting together a 4 day safari and 3 night stay in Zanzibar in less than 3 weeks prior to departure for my mother and I. The private safari was fantastic- our guide was great and we enjoyed all the accommodations. Ngorogoro and the Serengeti were amazing. Everything went seamlessly and Jasmine checked in regularly throughout our entire trip to make sure we were satisfied. I reached out to multiple safari companies and Sarafika offered the best priced packages for my needs. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Sarafika Tours when visiting Tanzania.

Family safari We came across Jasmine from Sarafika Tours through someone else. She is Tanzanian but has lived in the Netherlands for a long time and therefore also speaks Dutch. We wanted to travel with 7 people, including 3 small children (4, 7 and 9) and grandparents in their 70s, and therefore had some wishes regarding overnight stays (preferably with a swimming pool, family rooms, not driving too far distances, etc.) . Jasmine understood this immediately and immediately drew up a good program for this. Everywhere with family rooms / tented camps so that we could sleep together with the children. There was also a swimming pool everywhere so that the children could splash around after a long safari day (and we could have a quiet drink). At Rhotia Valley the waiter even played games with our children. Baraka was our guide and this was also a success. We laughed about how he scared away monkeys during our picnics. He spotted a lot of animals. And he had a good sense of what we wanted. Sarafika tours also offered a good price compared to other operators, but with excellent quality.
